The Inspiration and History of Go Krafty

The brand was born in 2018 out of a genuine need in the training studio, when its founder, Ola, sought a way to organize her knowledge without having to reach for her phone with chalk-covered hands. The first original planner—featuring a catalog of moves—was created for personal use but quickly became a sought-after tool within the entire pole dance community. Today, our mission is to bridge the gap between the decision to start training and the journey to mastery by offering products of an almost academic standard. As a Polish family business, we combine a passion for sport with the unique artistic vision of Kaja Sakowska, whose illustrations lend our tools a prestigious character. We believe that physically documenting progress is the most effective companion in a discipline where every detail and total focus matter. Our products are more than just accessories; they are exclusive knowledge resources that help dancers worldwide transform the chaos of training into a logical, beautiful whole.

          Questions and Answers

          Everything you need to know

          1. Why does the Pole Shapes Book work better for training than a phone app?

Using a phone in the training studio is impractical, as hands coated in grip powder make it impossible to operate a touchscreen. Our flagship *Pole Shapes Book* is a physical educational tool made of thick (180g) paper with a soft-touch finish. It is completely resistant to water, sweat, and grip powder, giving you instant access to illustrated moves without the risk of damaging your device.

          2. Where and how are Go Krafty educational materials and accessories produced?

All my products, including planners and binders, are manufactured 100% in Poland. Production relies on our family-run print shop, ensuring full quality control (premium quality). Additionally, every illustration of a pole dance move featured on our products is a unique, original work by Polish artist Kaja Sakowska.

          3. How do you start learning pole dance, and what should you bring to your first class?

For your first pole dance class, you primarily need comfortable, skin-baring attire (ideally shorts and a top), as bare skin provides the necessary grip on the pole. It is also a good idea to bring water and a small towel to wipe down the equipment. To avoid information overload right from the start and make it easier to remember move names, we recommend bringing a catalog of beginner-level moves to help organize what you learn.

          4. How can you effectively manage information overload and memorize difficult pole dance moves?

Consistency and keeping a physical record of your progress are key to advancing in pole dance. The best way to remember names and grips is to write them down in a training log immediately after class and visually "check off" mastered moves in a catalog of figures. This system allows you to track your progress and makes it much easier to later link individual moves into fluid choreographies (combos).
